Grand Commander’s June Message

 Here it is June already the Templar year 2007 -2008 is getting shorter and before we know it Grand Sessions will be here. As The Right Eminent Grand Commander I want to thank everybody who had anything to do with making this year great this includes the Sir Knights and their wives. We Sir Knights think that we are the ones who do all this Commandery business by are selves, but with out the wives, girlfriends or companions help us we could not be the Sir Knights that we are. I want to thank each and every one of the wives, girlfriends and companions for getting their Sir Knight ready this year to do his work at the Asylums around the state this year. I know that I have been told by my Advisory board that the commandery is not a women’s organization and that is true, but Sir Knights with out the dedication of your life’s partner we could not be a Knights Templar. I want to especially thank my wife Verbie from standing by me all these years and supporting me while in the Grand Line of the Grand Commandery, I know she came into the Grand Commandery with me kicking and screaming, but she has gone beyond the call of duty in what she has done for the Grand Commandery this year she and I will never be able to pay her back for her help and support. To all the Grand Ladies and ladies of the Sir Knights of Illinois I thank you for your dedication and help because with out your support the would not be a Commandery or a Grand Commandery, so once again Thank you Ladies.

Everybody should have gotten their information for conclave which is being held in Peoria again this year at the Pere Marquette. Be sure to send in your meal reservations and to make your hotel reservations as soon as you can lets make this years conclave the best one ever. This years Theme is “A Family Affair” get your reservations in.

As of this Date (April 25, 2008) Illinois is 9th in the Cumulative Total wit $24,283.51 and 22nd in the Per-Capita Rank with $4.69 for 40th Annual Voluntary Campaign. The National total to date (April 25, 2008) is $1,110,347.91. The state that is in 1st place as of this date (April 25, 2008) is New York with a Cumulative Total of $326,037.69 and they are 1st in the Per-capita with $151.01

Officers and there Ladies at the Delavan Presbyterian Church, this
Event is open to ALL SIR KNIGHTS IN ILLINOIS.

July 11-12 Annual DeMolay Conclave at Eureka College.

July 13 Annual Pilgrimage to The Illinois Knight Templar Home in Paxton,
Illinois

July 31 Grand Council – Pere Marquette Hotel, Peoria
Open to Sir Knights who are Cryptic Masons

August 1 Grand Chapter -- Pere Marquette Hotel, Peoria

August 2 Grand Commandery -- Pere Marquette Hotel, Peoria
